Working at Cozzies swimwear can be quite amazing, we meet some fabulous women. Today I helped a beautiful lady select swimwear for a holiday to FNQ. The first thing this lovely lady said was “My thighs are awful, I have this sagging thing happening, so I want shorts to wear over my cozzies”. The second thing she shared was that she is about to turn 60.
It turned out that she is a pastor at our local hospital and that her husband who was a minister had died a couple of years ago. She didn’t want to have a family party here, as it was too sad without her husband. I might add her 50th had been celebrated, at her request, with a soft food fight on the beach and organised by her family.
We tried a few cozzies that were quite fitted and she was not uncomfortable in, showing her middle lumps and bumps. We found a soft blouson top and brief, yes I did say brief, that looked great and she was comfortable in.
The shorts she was trying to hide her thighs in and also her bottom, which she thought was extra large, actually made her look bigger. Covering the bits you don’t like doesn’t actually make them look better. It does one of two things, it either makes them look worse, i.e. bigger or you look like you have big thighs you are trying to hide them.
We then added a mid thigh Board short for her to wear to and from the beach. She is definitely not going to keep them on over her new cozzie while on the beach. She did look lovely in the tankini and brief we chose. I was so pleased she took my advice when trying on the different styles of swimwear.
What a beautiful person, I do hope she has a great time celebrating her birthday in Cairns.
The photo is the tankini she chose, being slightly blouson it sits nicely over the tummy. This photo shows it strapless, personally I feel it looks better with the straps on, gives a much nicer body line.
