Well we did have a delay to the start of Winter this year. It has been lovely to have some unusually mild weather through Autumn and right up to the 1st June.
But now Winter is well and truly with us its time to relax and enjoy snuggling into our winter woollies and turning the heating up.
Winter is a time for comfort foods, hot chocolate, warming soups and wonderful puddings. We should be able to enjoy these beautiful foods with-out worrying about gaining weight.
The best way to avoid weight gain is to remember to keep exercising through winter.
You could swim laps or do Water Aerobics in one of the many indoor heated pools. Go to the gym, do some pillates, ride an exercise bike or even run on the treadmill. You don’t want to get to the other end of the season wishing you were a few kilo lighter.
We all like to be able to enjoy the treat that winter food can be. You don’t have to be a fitness guru, if you exercise just a couple of times a week for half an hour or so, you should keep yourself trim and taught and ready for next summer.
Remember we are all in this life together and the most important thing is to enjoy it.
